• suitable for max. 100 kg body weight
Recommendation:
• for trans-femoral amputees
• with moderate functional levels
• moderate stance phase stability
• moderate swing phase control
• very suitable for longer stump lengths
• not suitable for amputees with higher functional levels
Description:
The knee axis connects the upper and lower joint sections with bushings. Stance phase
stability is achieved by placing the knee axis posterior to the weight bearing line. Control of
the swing phase is independently provided by the 4E30 Extension Assist and by
adjustment of the axis friction.
Technical Data:
• Knee flexion range: approx. 155°, Height (knee center - upper edge): 25 mm

2 Description and Function
2.1 Application
The monocentric CHG-02S Modular Knee Joints with adjustable axial friction are to be exclusively used for the prosthetic fitting of amputations of the lower limb. The joints are recommended for moderately active patients weighing less than 100 kg/220 lbs. Acceptable as well for lower activity.
2.2 Construction
The lower joint section (12) is connected to the axis shell of the upper joint section by the knee axis (1). A lubricant within a low maintenance bushing (3) allows the knee axis (1) to move freely. The axis shell is grooved. Axis friction is adjusted by tightening or loosening the countersunk head screw (5). Joint extension is provided by a separate CHF-01 Extension Assist.
3 Alignment
The starting point for correct alignment is to determine the individual weight bearing line. Next, measurements are transferred to the components in the prosthesis according to the stated alignment recommendations (See diagram).
